Sarah Leiby  |  Assistant Coach

Sarah Leiby will begin her first season as assistant women’s soccer coach in the fall of 2017. She comes to MSUB from fellow NCAA Division II school Black Hills State University, where she held the same role as assistant coach.

Leiby helped get BHSU’s women’s soccer program off the ground in its inaugural season in 2016. The team posted a record of 1-16 and 0-12 in its first year of competition as a member of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference.

The West Chester, Pa., native holds a United States Soccer Federation National “D” license and a National Soccer Coaches Association of America Goalkeeping Level 2 diploma. An NCAA Division I goalkeeper at the University of Vermont, Leiby saw action in 25 games and started 23 during her playing career. In 2011, she set a single-season record for minutes played by a goalkeeper with 1,693 and led the America East Conference in saves. She earned her bachelor’s degree in environmental science in 2014 and was a four-time AEC academic all-league selection.

She is a graduate of WC Bayard Rustin High School in Pennsylvania.
